Founder's Story

Arina Gurfinkel, founder and creative force behind RoCo&Xander, is known for her thoughtful interior design approach and unique ability to add texture, layer shapes and weave in hand-made pieces that evoke a sense of effortless sophistication and casual luxury in every space. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit instilled in her since childhood, she built a successful career in finance yet always missed the creative environment she grew up to love, in large, thanks to her father.

“My dad, was a man of incredible business acumen, impeccable fashion sense and amazing mind for architectural design – all the qualities that later inspired and influenced me to redefine my career and be where I am today.”   

Since 2016, Arina founded a development company, later evolving into a full-service interior design firm, and finally launching RoCo&Xander, taking her design career to new heights. In 2025, a busy and talented mom of three, introduced a beautifully curated collection for her brand new retail showroom in Dallas Design District that is sure to delight any design loving heart.

What inspired you to start RoCo&Xander?

“I truly believe that beautiful and intentional design has a power to transform your life. Launching RoCo&Xander, allows me to share my passion for designing spaces that I hope can inspire beautiful life experiences for our clients."

What’s behind the name

“It is a namesake of my three children and a secret nod to my origin. I’ve often been told it’s a mistake not to use my name as a designer but if you know me, this name defines me the best and more importantly, always reminds me to never lose sight of who I am and what I value most in this life.”

 

How do you chose what to include in your collection?

“Every piece is something I personally reviewed, worked with or simply fell in love with in my design work, so collection sort of organically comes together.”

What is your favorite product?

“Oh that’s like asking me to pick a favorite child – it really depends on a day ... kidding of course!  I truly love that every product in the collection holds its own while all can work seamlessly together, creating a sense of effortless elegance that is easily transferred to any space.
